Decorative wall panels: who buys them
Decorative wall panels from this series go to fit-out contractors, interior designers, hotels and restaurants, developers finishing common areas, and decor retailers. Each panel carries one picture, so it works where a wall should draw the eye: a hall, a reception, a lift lobby or a dining room.
Global Trade Group is not a wall panel manufacturer. We buy from a wall panel manufacturer in China, and our team there negotiates the price and watches quality. Motifs include florals, some with a relief effect, horses, landscapes, peacocks and abstracts. For wall linings we also offer marble film.
What to put in an enquiry for wall panels
Give the design codes, the number of panels per design and where they will go. Panel size, substrate and finish are confirmed against the manufacturer's specification at quotation. If the project fixes a format, material or requirement such as a fire class, say so up front. Price and date come within one working day.
- Codes and quantities — e.g. HD26105 × 12, HD26250 × 4.
- Installation — interior type and wall dimensions.
- Format and substrate — if the project fixes them.
- Delivery term — FOB, CIF or DDP, with the site or warehouse address.
- Packaging — standard or under your logo, as private label.
Sample, production and delivery
Approve a sample before ordering the batch: a register print has to land in the same place on every panel, and colour on screen differs from print. Panels travel by container from Yantian to Gdańsk. The typical sailing takes 30–38 days, with production and inland transport on top.
We quote any quantity, from a sample to a full 40HQ container. Under Incoterms® 2020, FOB Yantian means we load on board and later costs are yours. CIF Gdańsk adds freight and insurance to Gdańsk; DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means delivery to site with duty paid. More on import from China.
Import duty and VAT on wall panels from China
A panel's CN code, the eight-digit number for goods in the EU customs tariff, depends on the substrate, which we confirm at quotation. For plastic and fibreboard substrates the duty on Chinese goods is 6.5–7%. Polish import VAT is 23% of the customs value plus duty. The EU tariff database TARIC lists no anti-dumping duty on these codes.
| Example substrate | CN code | Duty (China) |
|---|---|---|
| Foamed PVC board | 3921 12 00 | 6.5% |
| Solid PVC board thicker than 1 mm | 3920 49 90 | 6.5% |
| MDF or HDF fibreboard | 4411 | 7% |
We set each design's code before shipment. The VAT rate and base come from the Polish VAT Act, art. 30b(1) and art. 146ef. Estimate the landed cost in the import duty calculator.
