Matcha for tea shops: retail packs, chasen and matcha sets

A tea shop selling matcha needs three shelves: the tea in retail packs, the tools to prepare it and gift sets. We supply ceremonial matcha in tins and pouches and culinary matcha in pouches, each pack with an EAN code, plus bamboo whisks in 14 models, scoops, sifters and ceramic sets, shipped by courier from our warehouse in Poland.

What should a tea shop stock for matcha?

A matcha range in a tea shop has three parts: the tea, the tools and the sets. The tea sells again and again, the tools sell with the first tin, and the sets sell as gifts. Each part is in our catalogue, in retail packs.

Which chasen should a tea shop carry?

A tea shop should start with the 100-prong whisk and add one whisk for each kind of customer it serves. More prongs make a finer, denser foam; fewer, sturdier prongs keep their shape longer; purple bamboo, also called shichiku, is a dark bamboo that stands out on a shelf.

All the whisks, from 80 to 120 prongs, are compared in matcha tools.

How do the whisks ship?

The 100-prong whisk comes in a clear plastic tube that holds the prongs in shape on the shelf, and a kraft paper tube costs €0.50 more per piece, for a more natural presentation. The 100-prong whisk ships in cartons of 25 pieces, 300 × 300 × 110 mm and about 1.55 kg.

How do tea shops order?

Our matcha range ships from our warehouse in Poland by courier — InPost and DPD within Poland, DHL across the EU — and by pallet for larger orders. The goods are already inside the EU, so there is no customs duty or clearance on your side, and VAT is settled on our sales invoice. Stock varies by product; what is not in stock is made to order, and the quotation states the date.

Ceramic sets and gift boxes for the gift season are in matcha sets.
