Sakura matcha set with a spouted bowl

The Sakura set in the colours of cherry blossom: a hand-glazed bowl with a pouring spout, shading from pale peach to raspberry, with a bamboo whisk (chasen), a bamboo scoop (chashaku) and a whisk holder.

The spout is the working detail. Matcha whisked in the bowl pours straight into a latte glass, foam and all, instead of running down the side.

The glaze is applied by hand, so no two bowls come out of the kiln alike. Tea is sold separately; the set is also available bundled with ceremonial or culinary matcha.
