Rzędy bambusowych miotełek chasen do matchy na dębowym stole, za nimi kartonowe pudełka i tuby: towar hurtowy gotowy dla sklepu.

We sell chasen wholesale from 25 pieces at EUR 3.50–2.40 net per piece, shipped from our warehouse in Poland with no EU customs duty. At a PLN 29.90 retail price and the NBP rate of 29 September 2026, the margin before shipping is PLN 9.01 per piece, or PLN 10.32 from 100 pieces. Private label starts at 1,000 pieces.

How much does a chasen cost wholesale?

The GTG201001 chasen costs EUR 3.50 to 2.40 net per piece wholesale, and the minimum order (MOQ) is one carton of 25 pieces. The price drops to EUR 3.20 from 100 pieces, EUR 2.80 from 500 and EUR 2.40 from 1,000. From 5,000 pieces we quote individually.

A chasen is a bamboo matcha whisk, and a net price is a price before VAT. We convert euro to złoty at the NBP mid rate, which the National Bank of Poland publishes on working days in its table A. We use table no. 189/A/NBP/2026 of 29 September 2026, where EUR 1 = PLN 4.3728.

A wholesale carton holds 25 pieces, measures 300 × 300 × 110 mm and weighs about 1.55 kg. Each chasen comes in a plastic tube as standard. We quote shipping separately by country, quantity and weight.

What margin does a wholesale matcha whisk give a shop?

At a retail price of PLN 29.90 including VAT, one whisk brings in PLN 24.31 net. Less the wholesale price at the NBP rate, the margin is PLN 9.01 per piece at 25–99 pieces and PLN 10.32 at 100–499. Per carton of 25, that is PLN 225.25 or PLN 258.00.

PLN 29.90 is what our own brand ZOI charges for the same whisk in its Polish web shop, checked on 29 September 2026. We use it as the reference because it is our own retail price.

Take the VAT out of the gross price at Poland's standard rate of 23% (source in Polish). The reduced rates of 8% and 5% cover items such as selected foods, books and some hygiene products, and a chasen is a kitchen utensil. The sum is PLN 29.90 ÷ 1.23 = PLN 24.31 net, and the remaining PLN 5.59 is VAT.

Margin is the difference between the net selling price and the net purchase price; as a percentage, we take it of the net selling price. Markup is the same amount as a percentage of the purchase price.

The 100–499 band starts at four cartons, so the margin on the smallest order in that band is PLN 1,032.00. We round złoty to the grosz per piece, and carton figures are 25 × the per-piece figure.

This is arithmetic on stated prices, not a promise of a resale price. You set your own shelf price. The example leaves out shipping to you, marketplace commission, payment fees and shipping packaging, and the euro rate changes daily.

What does a paper tube cost instead of plastic?

A paper tube costs EUR 0.50 net more per piece. At the NBP rate of 29 September 2026, that is PLN 2.19 per piece and PLN 54.75 per carton of 25. With the retail price unchanged at PLN 29.90, the margin per piece falls to PLN 6.82 (25–99 band) and PLN 8.13 (100–499).

The plastic tube is standard. You choose the paper tube for a more premium presentation, for example in a gift set, and you decide whether to raise the shelf price. Neither tube is for storing a wet chasen; our guide How to choose a chasen explains why.

Private label matcha whisk: what does it cover from 1,000 pieces?

Private label means the chasen is sold under your own brand. From 1,000 pieces we prepare your name, logo, label and packaging design, quoted against your specification. For comparison, the standard chasen in the 1,000–4,999 band costs EUR 2.40 net per piece, or EUR 2,400 for 1,000 pieces.

A chasen under your own brand changes your role under product-safety law. The GPSR is Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety, applicable from 13 December 2024. According to Poland's consumer authority UOKiK (source in Polish), the manufacturer is anyone who puts their own name, trade name or trademark on a product.

The manufacturer marks the product with a type, batch or serial number, or another element that identifies it. It also gives its contact details: name or trademark, plus postal and electronic address. Where the product is too small, this information goes on the packaging or in a document supplied with the product.

A chasen touches food, so Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 on food contact materials also applies. According to the European Commission, it sets labelling rules, meaning an indication of use or the appropriate symbol, as well as documentation and traceability requirements. We cover GPSR and packaging duties on our EU import compliance page.

A non-standard variant, such as a different prong count or your own packaging shape, goes through our sourcing agent in China service. Our team in China negotiates at the factory, orders samples and watches quality through production, and we quote the date with the price.

How do we ship, and why do EU buyers pay no customs duty?

We ship the chasen from our warehouse in Poland: InPost and DPD within Poland, DHL across the EU, pallets for larger orders. The goods are already in the EU, so an EU buyer pays no customs duty and needs no customs clearance. VAT is on our sales invoice; shipping is quoted separately by country, quantity and weight.

Within the EU customs union, no customs duties are paid when goods move from one EU country to another. Customs clearance is the declaration of goods to customs on entry from outside the EU. Buying from our Polish warehouse skips that step.

Importing from China yourself would not lower the duty. Bamboo tableware and kitchenware (CN code 4419 19 00) carries 0% duty in TARIC on imports from outside the EU. A CN code is the eight-digit product code in the EU customs tariff.

Your own import adds clearance, import VAT paid on entry and transit time. Sailing from Yantian to Gdańsk alone typically takes 30–38 days, with production and inland transport on top.

We bring larger batches straight from the factory through our import from China service. A chasen from our Polish warehouse goes out by courier, without waiting for a container.

How to calculate your margin on a wholesale chasen

  1. 01

Divide the retail price including VAT by 1.23 to remove 23% VAT: PLN 29.90 ÷ 1.23 = PLN 24.31 net.

  2. 02

Find the net wholesale price for your quantity: EUR 3.50 (25–99 pcs), EUR 3.20 (100–499), EUR 2.80 (500–999) or EUR 2.40 (1,000–4,999).

  3. 03

Convert the wholesale price into złoty at the NBP table A mid rate, for example PLN 4.3728 on 29 September 2026: EUR 3.50 = PLN 15.30.

  4. 04

Subtract the net purchase price from the net selling price: PLN 24.31 − PLN 15.30 = PLN 9.01 margin per piece.

  5. 05

Multiply the margin per piece by 25 for the margin per carton: PLN 9.01 × 25 = PLN 225.25.

  6. 06

Deduct the selling costs the example leaves out: shipping to you, marketplace commission, payment fees and shipping packaging.
