120-prong chasen — purple bamboo matcha whisk
GTG201014
A 120-prong matcha whisk (chasen), hyakunijuppondate (百二十本立), cut from a single piece of purple bamboo, also called shichiku. It is the finest cut in our range, split into many thin prongs that whip matcha into a dense foam with fine bubbles, in a dark bamboo that stands out on a shelf.
Fine prongs are more delicate than coarse ones, so the whisk lasts longest when it is soaked briefly before use and dried on a holder afterwards. The same cut in white bamboo is GTG201005.
It comes in a clear plastic tube. Shipped from our warehouse in Poland by courier across Europe. Stock varies by model; where an order is larger than the stock, the quotation states the date.
