80-prong chasen — white bamboo matcha whisk

An 80-prong matcha whisk (chasen) cut from a single piece of white bamboo. Hachijuppondate (八十本立), the name printed on its tube, means eighty prongs. With fewer prongs than the 100-prong whisk, each one is a little sturdier, so the whisk keeps its shape well in everyday use while still lifting a smooth foam.

It comes in a clear plastic tube that holds the prongs in shape in transit and on the shelf. A kraft paper tube can replace it on request, for a more natural presentation.

For tea shops, cafés, online stores, gift-set makers and distributors who want a whisk a step sturdier than the standard. Shipped from our warehouse in Poland by courier across Europe. Stock varies by model; where an order is larger than the stock, the quotation states the date.
